Call her Ica. A daughter, a sister, a friend, a lover, a student, a normal human being. She's an outgoing gal who's living life on its edge, ready for any circumstances. She's frank, not tactless. She's very boyish, but a girl at heart. Ica's a Thomasian nursing freshman. Loud, outrageous, ecstatic voodoo doll :D
Let's see. There's still 6 days till the start of classes, and 4 days till I transfer to my dorm. THAT'S LESS THAN A WEEK. :)
I've packed my things, and washed my uniforms and bedsheets. So, the last thing to do is wait.
So, how was the preparation for college and Manila life? Very tiring.
1. Finding the perfect bag. Before, I use totes so that all my school stuff (and kikay stuff) could fit in with no problem. Now, I realized I should use backpacks (with a lil' style) so that my thick books and other stuff could fit in. But the question was: What brand? A lot (of brands) came to my mind till I got tired of thinking and went to looking. I went to a lot of Robinsons Department stores and found a single match that caught my eye at an instant. It's red and black all over with a bit of white polka dots and colorful monsters with a touch of glitter. Ain't it nice? I bought it with no hesitations.
2. Looking for a hoodie with style. I've got a lot of choices in mind: retro, electro, girly, artistic, colorful, etc. But when I saw the jacket at Redgirl, I knew it was the one. It's black and green, and has cream vectors. Awesome.
3. Looking for bedsheets. So, we went to this store that's got really low prices. We looked for some bedsheets and we had a hard time finding bedsheets with cool designs and with the right size 'cause they were all for the queen sizes. It took us 30 minutes before the saleslady realized there was more in the stockroom. DUH. Finally, we got some bedsheets.
4. Buying school shoes. This was the tiring part. After I got my uniform at Aling Ising's uniform center in Dapitan, we went to the Mall of Asia to buy some shoes. We first entered the dept. store 'cause there are a lot of shoes there to choose from but I didn't get a pair. It was either my size wasn't available or they're too hard, or the quality isn't that good, or they don't fit my feet perfectly. It took us two hours to finally find the almost perfect shoes from Rusty Lopez. It was kinda costly, but the money was worth it. It's comfy and it's the school shoe-type. Haha.
5. Buying toiletries. Of course, I'm not at home where all the things are at the palm of your hands. I'm gonna stay in a dormitory. So, my things are practically ZERO; the cabinet is empty. I went to the supermarket to purchase the basic things I needed (that includes my medicine). It was like buying home essentials for the first time! Haha. But I had fun.
So that's it. As Spongebob often says, "I'm ready!"
